BRIGHTON: WGBH-sponsored "World War II Memories" Road Show

On Friday, September 7, veterans of World War II and others who supported the war effort on the home front, gathered at the Veronica B. Smith Senior Center in Brighton for a Road Show to mark the premiere of Ken Burns' documentary "The War". There, they regaled volunteers and staff with stories and photographs that documented their experiences during that intense period in world history. We are working hard to process the images, data and video as swiftly as possible - stay tuned!

On June 10 and 11, Hebrew SeniorLife sponsored two Road Shows for residents, families and staff at HRCA in Roslindale.

From HSL Community Education, HSL: The HSL Memories Roadshow was a real success!!!!! On both days, Sunday, June 10th and Monday, June 11th, the energy was high and the stories flowed. [...] T More than 65 individuals were interviewed, old and historic photos scanned, and still photos taken. People left smiling and a lot of positive energy was generated  This has been a truly funfilled, interesting and important contribution to the joint history of our Hebrew SeniorLife community.
