John Lynch, father of Edward Joseph Lynch
This is my great grandfather, who emigrated from Bally lara [?] Co. Longford, Ireland to New York City in 1859. He saw Lincoln's funeral go through New York City. He moved to Canton, MA in 1870 and began an express service in Canton in 1882. He did all this with his identical twin brother, Thomas.

The family lived here at 182 Dean St. when it was still South Dedham (1884). Patrick J. Mahoney (grandfather, and father of Thomas Mahoney) and family lived in the house until 1986. The house is still standing today.
