Blizzard of '78
Comments: My husband Joe and I just moved to our Garrison Colonial house in Colonial Park in November of 1977. Then - the blizzard! The snow pile is in front of the house. The push sled is from my own childhood in the 50s. We had moved from Somerville and the best part of living in a town, not a city, was we had somewhere to put our snow - our new lawn.

My Father
Comments: G. Ernest Bell being presented with a hammer for 58 years of running Bell Hardware in Stoneham Square. Originally opened by his father, George O. Bell in a three-story building, the Valentine's Day fire in 1940 reduced it to a one-story building, located where there is now a large hole in the ground. Photo taken in the 1960s.
