Parker Tavern - built in 1694

Comments: My mother and her siblings were born here and were the last family to live there. St. Agnes Church owned the house and $12 monthly rent was offered to my grandfather. He said, "What do I want this old place for?" On the south side of the building in the early 1900s, four girls lived in one bedroom. The town took over the building in 1916. Then the Reading Antiquarian Society took it over.
